Uniform Dry-Cleaning Program (open to Cadets and Uniform wearing Faculty only)
The Dry-cleaning program is available for only issued uniform items. This includes allows you to get up to 10 uniform items dry cleaned each month, and includes starching, pre-spot cleaning, ironing. There is typically a 7 day turnaround time between drop-off and pick up. This program is only provided to students within the Corps of Cadets and faculty who wear the AGSU uniform. To make best use of the price of this service, cadets should plan on sending one set of Class Bs to be dry cleaned each week.
Students receive 2 Class B summer shirts and 2 winter shirts, as well as 2 pairs of gray trousers (they get a 3rd pair as Sophomores), and a Summer Bs cadet jacket. They also receive a black trench coat for the winter and have 1 Dress tunic and 1 dress coatee. We recommend not sending them all at once because of the turnaround time; additionally, the coatee and tunic don’t need to be sent every month. I would suggest that they go at least once a semester. The Tunic definitely after Thanksgiving Dinner and the Coatee after Regi Ball, as these are the two events where they are likely to get the most wear. The summer B’s jacket should probably get cleaned before being stashed away for winter, and the trench coat get cleaned before being stashed away for summer.
Though in the past we did not allow for students to share services; in order to encourage more frequent cleaning of uniforms, students may share their services as long as not more that 10 items are sent per month for dry cleaning.
